Confirmed Cast of Man of Tomorrow 2027 So Far

DC Studios began a major reboot of its cinematic universe after James Gunn and Peter Safran took charge, officially launching a new era of the DCU with last year’s blockbuster Superman (2025), which introduced David Corenswet as the new Superman after Henry Cavill. 

According to Variety, the Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow, has now started filming in April this year and is expected to land in theaters next year. Have a look at the confirmed cast of Man of Tomorrow 2027, which includes returning as well as new characters.  

Cast of Man of Tomorrow 2027 so far

Man of Tomorrow will have Superman and his villain, Lex Luthor, team up to defeat a bigger threat: the super-intelligent antagonist Brainiac. This is the first time Brainiac is getting a big-screen live-action debut. 

David Corenswet as Superman

Obviously, David Corenswet will be reprising his titular role. He has established himself as a strong performer in the said role, despite skepticism before 2025’s Superman was released. 

Nicholas Hault as Lex Luthor

Nicholas Hault will once again be seen as Lex Luthor, as teased in one of Gunn’s Instagram posts, suited up in his war suit. Though it was a comic picture, it certainly implies that something big is coming. 

Also, a forced collaboration could be speculated between Superman and Lex Luthor, which could lead them to work on their personal differences. It would be a rare sight to watch them work on their long-standing rivalry for the sake of a common goal.

Brainiac is one of the most requested villains in the DCU who debuted as Superman’s villain in 1958’s Action Comics no. 242. The Superman follow-up will have him as far more powerful than Lex Luthor due to his alien origins, advanced technology, and comic-level threats, often collecting planets. 

Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane

Brosnahan’s Lois Lane will return, having established a new relationship with Clark Kent, aka Superman, in last year’s film. She was seen supporting Superman with all her might and the help of the Justice Gang. 

Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen

Gisondo’s Jimmy Olsen played a crucial role in the 2025 pic, helping expose Lex Luthor’s collusion with the nation of Boravia. He also provided plenty of humor, which means he was an active developmental element in the film. 

Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl

Reports and her Instagram post confirmed that Merced’s Hawkgirl will be returning as one of the Justice Gang’s strongest members. Rather than just a minor side character, she might portray an important and powerful superhero within the team.  

Aaron Pierre as John Stewart

Aaron Pierre joined HBO’s Lantern series as John Stewart and is going to appear in Man of Tomorrow too. He is one of the backup human lanterns for Hal Jordan, a character previously portrayed by Ryan Reynolds but did not impress the viewers much. John Stewart was trained by Hal Jordan, and it would be interesting to see his relationship with Hawkgirl as other continuities in the animated Justice League have revealed. 

Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner

Nathan Fillion is also on the list of returning DC characters as another Green Lantern. He is another backup human lantern for Hal Jordan since the classic Silver Age and Bronze Age Green Lantern comics introduced specific backup human lanterns for Hal Jordan. Guy Gardner was created in 1968, while John Stewart was introduced in 1971 as a secondary backup. 

In the 2025 film, his unusual haircut and abrasive personality made him a standout character. It would be fascinating to watch both lanterns coming together to fight the powerful villain and how they contribute to the story. 

Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific

Mister Terrific was genuinely terrific when he saved Superman from Lex Luthor’s imprisonment with the help of Lois Lane. Edi Gathegi will be suiting up again for the role, waiting for his role to expand further alongside his fellow Justice Gang heroes. 

Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher

Sara Sampaio played Lex Luthor’s girlfriend in Superman last year, and she is back again. She betrayed Lex Luthor due to her love for Jimmy Olsen. Fans will be eager to see how her character develops in the next Superman installment and whether she continues to stand by Jimmy Olsen. 

Adria Arjona as Maxima

Adria Arjona is the new addition to the cast of Man of Tomorrow as Maxima. She is an alien queen who has been both an antagonist and a potential love interest for Superman in the comics. Her dynamic with Lois Lane could add an intriguing new layer to the story, making their interactions one of the aspects we’re most excited to see. 

Milly Alcock as Supergirl 

Milly Alcock was cool as Supergirl but could not save her film this year at the box office. However, she is to return in 2027 with the same powers despite having a different perspective on doing good as compared to Superman. 

Xolo Maridueña as Blue Beetle

It was recently announced that new cast member Xolo Maridueña will be playing Jaime Reyes, aka Blue Beetle. His debut movie was released in 2023, and Gunn confirmed that he remains part of the DCU. If he is the newly recruited member of Justice, it would be thrilling to watch him do wonders with his powerful weapons and armor on command.  

When is Man of Tomorrow releasing?

Warner Bros. and DC Studios have slated a theatrical release of Man of Tomorrow on July 9, 2027.
